| June 19, 2005, Walnutport, PA: Within 24 hours of
its launch, the Professional Outdoor Media
Association [POMA] announced receipt of more than 30
membership applications, from both media and
corporate partner applicants. "Outdoor industry professionals have been waiting
for POMA to launch for almost a year," explains POMA
Chair and President Betty Lou Fegely. "They have
been patient and supportive of the steering
committee and interim board of directors that has
worked so hard to make the organization a reality."
The goal of the interim board was to launch an
organization that could begin providing real member
benefits within a short period of time.
"With the base of members
increasing by the hour, I believe the board's goal
will soon become a reality," adds Laurie Lee Dovey,
secretary/treasurer of POMA. "We're already received comments from
members regarding the types of services they hope
POMA will provide."
